Justification
1. Delivers the sinner (who by nature stands guilty before God) from condemnation – (Isa. 53:6; 54:17; Rom. 8:1-33.)
2. It is the act of God – (Isa50:8, 9; Rom 8:33), not of works (Gal 3:11), but freely by way of His grace (Rom 3:24; Ps 103: 2, 3; Eph 1:6).
3. Through Christ alone – (Acts 4:12; Rom 3:24), on the basis of His obedience unto death, that is, His active and passive obedience – (Rom 5:9, 18, 19).
4. Secured by God’s grace, justice and righteousness – (1 John 1:9), and NOT by righteousness IMPARTED to us (or inherent in us), but through Christ’s perfect righteousness IMPUTED to us - (Rom 4:6, 22-25; 2 Cor. 5:21).
5. Experienced at effectual calling – (Rom 8:30), when the sinner believes in Christ – (Rom 3:22; 5:21; Gal 2:16).
6. Not only are we thereby freed from condemnation, and pardoned all our sins – (Rom 4:6, 7) but we are actually pronounced and accounted righteous in God’s sight – (Isa 61:10; Rom 5:18).
7. The righteousness of Christ is reckoned ours by God’s gift to believing sinners – (Rom 5:17).
8. We are called by the very same name as Christ – (Jer. 23:6; 33: 16) and receive a good title to eternal life – (Titus 3:7).
9. Justice and the Law cannot reach the accounted righteous through the surety of Christ - (Rom 8:33, 34), and hereby our glorification is ensured – (Rom 8: 30).
10. We work not FOR justification, but FROM, AFTER, or BECAUSE OF justification – (Gal 2:16- 21; Rom 8:1-4).
